Question about wire antenna and oak tree canopy and power lines. Included a picture of the lot I am on. Right now I am under the canopy power lines are standard height not the larger transmission line.

Power lines run along street in front and back of property marked in thick red.

Shack is in back marked in thin red line.

Is shooting a line up over the trees to allow the wire to just rest on top of trees acceptable?  Running a ts-480sat no amp.  It will probably be a sacrificial antenna cause once its up there it won't be easy getting it down and we know hurricanes an oak trees don't really get along.

I have  a vertical but not the location to mount it until I loose a select oak tree or two.

I put my wire on top of a tree but it has an inverted V; goes up and then down. You need also a tuner. It resisted hurricane Sally.
