Any body doing any packet radio around here? W5cl had given me a MFJ-1270c I just got it hooked up to linux with a serial usb port to verify its working and I can login . Now to get some connecting cables for a radio.
Not sure what I'm going to do except play unless someone has some ideas. Going with a kenwood connect that i can use on a 480sat for hf or tm-251 for vhf.
open to ideas and suggestions.

I'm also ready for some 2m packet. I downloaded SoundModem and EasyTerm from UZ7HO to test a home APRS setup. That works now with my FT-991A. But I'm ready for some keyboard-to-keyboard packet transactions. I need a line-of-sight path to a digipeater from the Navarre lowlands to get out around the counties. I can hear the K4SRC APRS station in Milton via a direct RF path so I know that's within LOS of my QTH. Any tall digis in Milton, Gulf Breeze, or south Pensacola?
